Plain-English terms.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using Bordly ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using Bordly on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. The service

Bordly provides a team workspace including kanban-style ticket boards, personal task management, team journals, and a browser extension. We reserve the right to modify, add to, or discontinue features at any time, with reasonable notice where practical.

3. Your account

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of someone else without their consent.
• You must be at least 16 years old to use Bordly.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Bordly to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or infringes a third party's rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' workspaces or data.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers.
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Service without our written permission.
• Resell or sub-license access to the Service without our written permission.
• Upload malware, viruses, or any other malicious code.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without prior notice depending on the severity.

5. Your content

"Your Content" means any text, files, images, or other material you upload or create within Bordly (tickets, tasks, journal entries, comments, attachments).

• You retain ownership of your content. We do not claim intellectual property rights over it.
• You grant Bordly a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your content solely to operate and provide the Service to you.
• You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party rights or violate applicable laws.
• We do not use your content to train AI models or for any purpose outside delivering the Service.

When you delete content or your account, we will delete your content from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

6. Payment and billing

The Starter plan is free with no credit card required. Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout.

• Prices are displayed in USD and are subject to change with 30 days' notice.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. You will retain access until the end of the current billing period — we do not offer pro-rata refunds for partial periods.
• We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use of a paid plan after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.

7. Availability and uptime

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Scheduled maintenance, third-party outages (e.g. Supabase, Vercel), and unexpected incidents may cause temporary unavailability. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate planned downtime in advance.

The Service is provided "as is". We are not liable for any loss resulting from downtime or data unavailability.

8. Intellectual property

All rights to the Bordly name, logo, design, code, and features belong to Bordly. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you except the limited right to use the Service as described here.

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free right to use them without restriction or compensation.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bordly is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bordly and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via your workspace settings.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, or if we choose to discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where practical. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days of account closure, unless legally required to retain it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date on this page and, for significant changes, by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
